I have a lot on my mind this morning and two things made me want to blog right now. I’ve decided to pick only one since that is the usual dilemma we face.
Consequences of advertising. I’ve been in technology most of my adult life, or all of it if you consider adult to be over 21.
Watching Apple use discrediting campaign technology to attack Microsoft’s OS marketshare brings me to my point.
In the form of a question.
Is Apple throwing Microsoft under the bus in TV ads really helping them grow or is it really paving the way for consumers to ultimately embrace the new more user friendly Linux flavors (like Google’s new OS) as they hit the market?
I’ll be watching closely to see if I can read the minds of the marketers behind all of this. It may simply be that the loss of synchronicity in the OS world is upon us and Windows 7 and Apple’s assault on the market leader is a last ditch effort to extract the money before the wealth is lost in the cloud.
I’m looking for ways to use what I learn to benefit my ventures down the road.
